Otago Peninsula. A short trip on the Taieri Train to Middlemarch to begin or end the Otago Rail Trail.
For golf enthusiasts, there are 2 golf courses within 1 kilometre of Silver Peaks Lodge.

The Lodge
Silver Peaks Lodge was built in the early 1990’s.
Nestled on the hillside just under Saddle Hill, a well known geographical icon within the Dunedin area.
The lodge has a wonderful norwesterly outlook over the Taieri plains and the hills beyond including the Maungatua’s and
 the Silver Peaks Range. The very close proximity to Dunedin City is a great advantage.

Enjoy the peaceful country life listening to the native bird life including bell birds and tui’s with the city lights within a short driving distance. Dunedin International Airport is only 10 minutes away, an advantage especially for those early flights!

Accommodation Options

A spacious private guest wing with 4 guest rooms, 3 guest bathrooms, also a separate two bed roomed self contained unit,
guest laundry, guest lounge/games room with pool table and guest dining room.
All rooms have underfloor heating, heated towel rails, electric blankets and large wardrobes. Tea and coffee making facilities.
 

Silver Peaks Suite
This private warm room has a queen bed and a single bed with ensuite and private conservatory
opening with French doors onto the large veranda from both the bedroom and the conservatory.
The room has fabulous views from the sunny and warm conservatory. You can’t help but relax!
Underfloor heating for all year round comfort. Included in the room, are tea and coffee making facilities,
a fridge, hair dryer, electric blankets, warm & cosy down duvets, TV, radio alarm clock.

Taieri Gorge Suite
A sunny warm twin room with French doors opening onto the large veranda. A shared guest
bathroom with heated towel rail and separate guest laundry. Tea and coffee making facilities
in the hall just outside the room. Electric blankets, hair dryer, large wardrobe and underfloor heating.

Maungatua Suite
A warm and cosy queen room with ensuite, heated towel rail and separate guest laundry.
Large wardrobe, hair dryer, electric blankets and warm and cosy down duvet,
underfloor heating, tea and coffee making facilities in the hall just outside the room.

Saddle Hill Suite
A King bed or Twin singles room with private guest bathroom. Heated towel rail,
large double wardrobe, hair dryer, electric blankets warm and cosy down duvet.
This room does not have a view but the guest lounge/games room is only across
the hall where you can enjoy the stunning views.

Two Bedroomed separate self contained unit
With a double room and a twin room. A  fully equiped kitchen and laundry facilities.
Self catering.
The unit is available for short or longer term rental

• Guest lounge with pool table: The guest lounge opens onto the veranda with two sets of French doors. This is a lovely sunny room with fabulous views over the Taieri Plains and the hills beyond. There are a variety of games etc for all ages to enjoy in the guest games/lounge room including a pool table and piano.
• Guest dining room: Take in the stunning views over the Taieri Plains from the dining room while you enjoy your breakfast.
• Underfloor heating: We have underfloor heating for all year round comfort.
• Free wireless internet: We offer free wireless internet with or without your own computer.

• Small conference facilities: The large guest lounge would be wonderful for a small conference – morning and afternoon teas and lunch can be arranged. We have a separate commercial kitchen so catering is not a problem. Self-catering is also an option.
