Built in 1928 as part of the original Presbyterian Orphanage, Nisbet Cottage is situated in a quiet area on the way to Otago Peninsula.
We offer luxury accommodation in two spacious suites exclusive to guests who participate in our Nature Package.
This two-night package is ideal for guests visiting Dunedin for its wildlife and natural history.

 Our expert guides will take you on a journey of discovery providing in-depth information and enjoyable nature experiences. Start your day with the Sunrise Penguin Walk, an exhilarating eco-adventure with focus on rare Yellow-eyed Penguins and their natural environment.
Return to Nisbet Cottage for a hot shower and a relaxed breakfast before heading out again for the Dunedin Nature and Albatross Experience.
You are most welcome to extend your stay with us and add extra nights bed & breakfast with the option of the Catlins Experience day-tour.
We will also be happy to advise and book further activities in Dunedin.
