Otago Peninsula is steeped in history and is undoubtedly  a unique experience viewing the wildlife in their natural  habitats.
Local wildlife includes Albatross, Penguins, Seals, Shags,  Sea lions and much more. We are the closest motel to the world-famous
Royal Albatross and rare Yellow-eyed Penguin Colonies,
Natures Wonders Wildlife  Tours, Monarch Harbour Cruises,
Otakau Marae and Meeting House  (all only a 2 minute drive),
also very central to other main attractions .

The area has many historic features, including an underground  fort complex with a fully restored Disappearing Gun, dated  back to 1886 (renowned to be the best in the world)
