Otago Peninsula is steeped in history and is undoubtedly  a unique experience viewing the wildlife in their natural  habitats. Local wildlife includes Albatross, Penguins, Seals, Shags,  Sea lions and much more.
We are the closest motel to the world-famous Royal Albatross and rare Yellow-eyed Penguin Colonies, Natures Wonders Wildlife Tours, Monarch Harbour Cruises, Otakau Marae and Meeting House  (all only a 2 minute drive), also very central to other main attractions .

The area has many historic features, including an underground  fort complex with a fully restored Disappearing Gun, dated  back to 1886 (renowned to be the best in the world)
The Otago Peninsula offers an endless list of activities  including Royal Albatross and Yellow-eyed Penguins Colonies,  Monarch Wildlife Cruises, Natures Wonders Wildlife Tours,  Glenfalloch Woodland Gardens, Larnach Castle, NZ Marine Studies  Centre Aquarium, Golf Course, Boat Hire, Horse Riding, Bicycle  Hire, Water sports, and Arts and Crafts. The Otago Peninsula  also boosts many scenic walks and drives.

Only a 2 minute walk across to the beach for a leisurely  stroll, watch our spectacular sunsets, view our little blue  penguins coming ashore at dusk, or simply take time out to  watch the world go by.
