Stunning two-storied coastal Arts and Crafts 1920's Homestead on a peaceful 2.5 acres of established gardens with panoramic
 coastal and rural views. An ideal choice for adults and children and suits both small or large groups of holiday makers,
travellers or as a work or meeting venue.

The homestead is beautifully presented with quality beds and furniture. A large veranda connects lounges to stunning gardens
with a  very rare Mexican Hand Tree, and protected native trees and native birds, perfect for relaxing in.
For cosy winter retreats there is an open fireplace, heat pump, heaters and electric blankets. Kitchen - good sized fridge-freezer, microwave and a gas oven/hob, very well stocked with crockery and utensils etc to cater for larger groups.

 THE ACCOMMODATION
The house itself can easily sleep 15 or so with 5 bedrooms. The colonial style bunkhouse sleeps 5
and a charming sleepout bedroom a further 2 -We are flexible to suit differing accommodation and budget needs,
so please contact us to discuss your particular requirements.

Blueskin Bay Garden
 Beautiful, mature gardens with large specimen protected native trees and NZ birds. We also have the very rare Mexican Hand Tree (one of the few in NZ).
Additional fenced garden with children's swings.
A BBQ on the veranda and a range of outdoor furniture.
On the property there are alpacas and hens.
Plenty of parking for vehicles and boats.


BLUESKIN BAY, famous for shellfish, is perfect for smaller children.
Local coastal wildlife includes penguins, seals, sea lions, oyster catchers,
godwits, dolphins, albatrosses, and occasionally whales.

Blueskin Bay View
WARRINGTON BEACH is walking distance from the homestead and is safe
(and clean), with trained lifeguards during the summer season. Dogs under control are allowed on the beach and at the property. This coast is popular for fishing, swimming, boating and other water activities. The surf conditions vary.
 
LOCAL AREA:
The wonderful Orokonui Ecosanctuary with its Visitor, Education Centre and Café. Nearby, Karitane offers a 9-hole golf course, kayak hire and horse riding.
Waitati has the prize-winning Blueskin Garden Centre with a café, art gallery,
 a local shop and more.
Dunedin airport is only 45 minutes from Blueskin Bay House.

We are a spacious site and specialise in providing flexible accommodation to suit individual needs with options available.
As well as the house we have a colonial style bunk house with double and single bunks (sleeps 5)
which can be used either by house or backpackers.
